Pumpsim DESIGN Training Course: Brisbane, Australia - July 2025

About This Event

Pumpsim DESIGN training is a great way to learn how to efficiently use Pumpsim DESIGN software to help design, improve and validate important decisions in the mining industry for modelling, optimising pumping systems, dewatering, paste fill and more.

The course will be presented by one of our expert engineers who have worked with Ventsim and Pumpsim for many years helping to develop and improve our software, training and consulting.

This course will educate participants in fundamental pumping and pipeline design and improvement strategies. Using Pumpsim DESIGN, course participants will model and simulate a wide variety of pumping systems and scenarios. Participants will also learn how to optimise existing pumping systems, in order to achieve considerable mine cost savings.

All participants will receive a 30 day licence of the latest version of Pumpsim DESIGN, example files for course work, and post course exercises.

Participants are required to bring a suitable laptop.

Course Content

• Pumpsim DESIGN basics which include:

• Building a basic water supply model – Pipes/Tanks
• Building a basic water supply model – Valves
• Building a water supply model – water demand devices
• Collect/transport free water – Channels and drains
• Pumping water
• Handling and Correction Common warning and errors

• Advanced Modelling and Dynamic Simulation which includes:

• Build a real mine model
• Fluids
• Aquifer and Stored Water Voids
• Dynamic simulation – Setting up scenarios and rules
• Dynamic simulation – Analysing results
• Summary
